Thanks for the quick response Mike. Not a deal breaker anyway. I still think getitdone is the simplest GTD app with just enough features and I'll keep trying it. Is the program going to keep being developed actively?

Trying out the app and like it. Is there a way to A)view all tasks at once in a certain area? or B)View all Projects at once with their respective tasks listed under each project?
Thanks

Thanks for the response. The answer about the Completed folder clarifies one of the issues. And about the inconsistent behavior of the moving items, perhaps my iPhone app setting and the web app setting are different? I'll check that.

I'll send some details about the duplicated tasks on the feedback form.

There is a setting in all of the apps that you can specify wether to move completed items immediately to the trash or move them manually.

The 'Completed' folder is only a 'Smart Folder' where it lists completed tasks that exist anywhere in the system, tasks are not actually stored there, they are stored in the trash.

As far as duplicated tasks, just send us the task title through our feedback form and we will look into it for you.

I've been testing GID to see if I want to use it long-term, and have generally been impressed. There are a couple of issues that I'm perplexed by. I'm vexed by the same issue that Kathie mentioned earlier in the thread, which I don't think was addressed: Items I've made repeating do not show up in the "Today" box on the day they are scheduled to repeat, but in the Inbox. That doesn't make sense. Additionally, items that are marked as "repeat after completed" show up in the Inbox each even if the task was not previously completed, so there are multiple instances of that task in my Inbox and Today box. Is there a way to prevent this? Am I doing something wrong? Are you working to change that so that it shows up in the Today box?

Also, GID seems to be inconsistent with how it deals with completed tasks. Sometimes when I check off a task, it disappears immediately; sometimes it stays, crossed off, in the Today box for days. Sometimes it moves to the "completed" folder, sometimes it appears in the "trash" folder. Is there something I'm missing, or doing incorrectly?

I'd appreciate any answers; I'm up against the end of my trial period, and I'm leaning towards purchasing the service, but I'd like to know how to iron these issues out and ending their inconveniences before deciding for certain.

I think it's not quite true. It is important to see a hierarchy of tasks and the sequence of their execution. Tags do not provide it. These important features should be added. At least for me it is one of the main reasons for choosing a program.

We feel that tags are a good way to break down a project or group together tasks. Many time complex tasks could be broken down in into simpler tasks and then grouped together by 'tag'

The problem with creating a new Area called "Archived" is that all the completed projects show up in the "All Areas" view. This is a view I use quite frequently as I don't want to lose sight of the various inboxes assigned to each area.I don't want this view cluttered by projects that are no longer live so I would just trash the old projects as things are. A record of old projects would be handy but not at the expense of current work.
